HempWool® is a plant based product made with 90% hemp fiber and 10% binder— and safe to handle without gloves.
It delivers acoustic performance on par with leading fiber-based insulation.
With an R-value of 3.7 per inch, HempWool® offers insulation performance comparable to fiberglass, mineral wool, and sheep’s wool.
HempWool® is treated with a bio-based, non-toxic fire retardant and natural biocides to enhance fire and pest resistance.
It's ideal for humid environments, since the hygrometric insulation is vapor permeable and also resistant to mold.
